The municipality of Chiusa di Pesio is found in the southern part of the Province of Cuneo, (Granda province) about 15 Km from Cuneo, at the beginning of the homonymous valley crossed by Pesio Creek with all its length. The town boasts a history of a thousand years, from the small village where proof goes back to the Iron Age.
It is a municipality whose territory  is mainly mountainous, departing from the slightly flatter part of the town valley, following  Pesio Creek while passing the fractions Vigna, and San Bartolomeo to the magnificent Certosa dating back to 1173, puts itself in a spectacular frame comprised of the Alps in the massive Conca del Marguareis it is one of the most important speleological sites both Italian and international.

PEVERAGNO

The municipality of Peveragno is found in the southern part of the Province of Cuneo as well, (Granda province) about 10 km from Cuneo at the base of the mountain called Bisalta, on of the most remembered and important sights in the province. The settlement is found in a wide valley set  to the north and to the west of San Giorgio hill which continues to Contraforte di Moncalvino arriving south to the massiveness of Bisalta, and east of the territory sloping towards the flatland and Chiusa di Pesio.
The origins of Peveragno are hypothetically dated back to the III century D.C., for a few archaeological findings in the zone of Castelvecchio.

It belongs to the Municipality Montana Bisalta that includes almost all the municipalities that have their symbol Pianfei - Chiusa di Pesio – Peveragno and Boves in Bisalta.
